     Now, I'll be the first to admit..as much as I love all the attention I get, sometimes I just want to go incognito. Especially after a night of too much doggie champagne. So when this pair of sunglasses arrived in the mail, I was like totally over the moon. 

   I mean..these aren't just any ordinary sunglasses..these are Doggles! Just the greatest dog shades company this side of forever. These are the only sunglasses I've ever seen that actually stay on. Because dog ears are positioned on the top of the head, ordinary human sunglasses just won't cut it. Thats why Doggles have a patented three strap system. One strap goes behind the head, one is over your forehead, and one is under your chin. This keeps the glasses firmly, yet comfortably on your head. This helps when you are running through Neiman Marcus and trying to look chic at the same time. 

   So Cher put the Doggles on me and we headed out on the town. Unfortunately, the opposite of what was suppose to happen, happened..I had everyone staring at me! I mean..more than usual. There were people stopping for autographs, paparazzi taking photos. This was not good for someone with a doggie hangover.. 

   I feared the worst when we were sent back a picture the following day..but I looked great! I mean, Cher looked OK too. But I looked so posh! And I owe it all to my Doggles.

Trish Hampton




Collars for dogs are like shoes for women, you can never have enough. You must have at least one to match every outfit. So when I heard that THE Trish Hampton was sending me a collar from her collection, I was in royal dog heaven. Every posh dog knows that she designs some of the chicest products around. She had to be a Princess in a past life.

   I was so excited when it arrived, wrapped in pink tissue paper. Being a Pomeranian, no tissue is safe. So I ripped it open myself. It is a little big on me, that being Cher’s fault because she never told her what size I am. But that’s OK, I actually like my collars a little big. I wear my collars more like small necklaces because my hair is so big that a well fit collar would get lost under my fur. Of course, my harness is always well fit.

   But let me tell you about this collar! It is this cool kind of golden goddess color, paired with a perfect stripe of classic baby pink. The collar is double layered for massive strength and the stitching is all enforced. I can see this collar lasting quite a long time. The stripe design is also repeated inside the collar toward the neck, the detailing in this collar is amazing. I mean, who would even see the inside of the collar when the dog is wearing it? It reminds me of when designers put detailing inside of high heels, so when the shoes are off one can appreciate it. It makes me feel like I have a little secret, like wearing sexy lingerie for your eyes only! When you separate the two layers or make the collar bigger (their buckle collars are very adjustable to fit) the inside of the layers is revealed. It’s the same golden brown color but extremely shiny! Being a diva, I love shine. Looking closely at this inner layer, one could appreciate the workmanship put into this collar. I love the hardware, a sturdy leash loop double stitched into it’s own little pocket, it comes with a charm latch so you can easily attach a charm or I.D. tag to the collar.

   And I’ve never seen this before, but the tag that is usually quickly attached to a item with a plastic wire is clearly not good enough for Trish Hampton. Her tag was attached to the charm latch with a delicate little ribbon tied in a bow. That perfectly sums up the amount of time and detailing that goes into all of her products.

   My favorite part would have to be the label that is sewn onto each collar and lead. It’s a very classic chocolate brown with a pink stitching of Trish Hampton’s signature.

   After receiving this collar, I wore it everyday for two weeks. I know I must’ve committed a faux pas at least once within that time period, wearing the collar with outfits that don’t match. Luckily, most of my outfits are pink. Not that it mattered because this collar is such class, I’m wearing it right now.. naked.. Of course, I’m starting to dream of polka dots so you know what this means. Cher! Put on your lip gloss baby.. we’re going shopping for more Trish Hampton.









 




Greenies Variety Pack



Its not easy being a Greenie, especially in the presence of dogs. Their products are so good, I’ve never met one dog that could resist. So when we received a package from Greenies, I was drooling like a St. Bernard. I happily helped Cher with opening the package, the smell was coming through and I wanted it all! I was a little disappointed when Cher told me I could only have one treat per day, but she bought me off by offering different treats afterwards. This review was spread over three days.

Greenies:
I’m a big fan of the original Greenies. They are green, edible, toothbrush shaped treats that provide a long lasting chew. Not only do Greenies freshen your doggie breathe (which even Royal dogs get), but they make your teeth sparkle! What Prince or Princess wants to walk around with icky plaque and tarter on their teeth? Did you know 80% of dogs suffer from dental disease by age 3? It’s the #1 health problem in dogs, especially small and toy breeds (such as myself). In feeding trials, they found that dogs given just one Greenie per day had a 87% reduction in tarter on their teeth. So you ask, how can I get my dog to eat something to good for him? Here’s the answer.. just give them one. In trials, all of the dogs preferred Greenies over plain old rawhide and other chews. Now normally I don’t let anyone else talk, but being my sister is the one with arthritis I let her do this one.

Hi, its me Rosa the old but wise one. Princess, she’s a little spring chicken. Mmmm.. chicken. So she let me have the Hip Chips. They have glucosamine in them, which helps my achy joints. Of course, I got all excited when mom told me they are Barbeque Chicken flavored. I live for barbeque but a lot of dog treats don’t live up to my standards. These are excellent! They have just the right amount of smokey flavor. I let Princess have one too and we both give them two dewclaws up. Ok, am I done? Can I go back to sleep now? I'll just have one more. Thanks..

Thanks Red, for your time. Hey, she took the whole bag! Yes, they’re great. I don’t have arthritis yet (paws on wood) but I still love these. Cher tried a piece too, she says it tastes kind of like beef brisket. It comes in Barbeque Chicken, Smokey Cheddar &Bacon, Garlic & Onion, and Chicken Liver (For Cats).

Pnutz:
Oh, these were so yummy! I’m usually not a fan of peanut butter, and they sort of look a little bit like poop so I was almost too scared to try it. But I’m happy I did, I love the double textures. Its now my second favorite to the Greenies. The best part.. They are high protein and low carb, perfect for keeping that girlish figure. And they have special ingredients for a healthy skin and coat!

PetGuard Canned Food And Treats



Being a Princess, I only expect the best. That doesn’t stop at just clothing, accessories, and bedding but one mustn’t forget.. you are what you eat. So I only eat the highest quality food available. This of course means nothing but holistic all natural food. Yes this usually translates to more expensive, but aren’t we worth it? Go ahead, read the back of your dog’s present canned/dry food. If it says anything about by-products, artificial colors/flavors, animal fat, etc then it is junk. Cher says the price of the food makes up in less Vet bills because your pet is more healthy, visiting your vet is something both you and your pet don’t want to do unless it’s just to say hello. My recently departed sister Rosa told me about the Mr. Pugsly cookies that Cher used to always buy her. So when we received a package from PetGuard, the makers of said cookies, I was a little more than pleased. They didn’t send a coupon for free products, they actually sent the products. So I and Rosa got to eat everything right away! They sent two kinds of canned food and both kinds of cookies.

That was of course for Rosa. I remember it smelled really good, with all that chicken, liver, peas, carrots, and potatoes. She seemed to really like it, the way she gobbled it down like that.

Vegetarian Feast Dinner

I didn’t think I would like this, but I do love vegetables so I tried it. It was really good. It has soy beans, brown rice, corn meal, carrots, peas, potatoes, and oatmeal. Though it was good, I would not recommend eating this all the time. The #1 food allergy in dogs is soy, the #2 food allergy is wheat, and the #3 food allergy is corn. Being that this contains the #1 and #3 highest food allergy in the top three ingredients, this may not be too good for your dogs. I may get a written letter from the company for this one, but I have to be honest.

Turkey & Barley Dinner

I really liked this, I loved that it also came in a small can because I prefer eating my canned food at room temperature. I can’t stand eating food that was in the fridge all night. That’s quite horrid, as you shouldn’t reheat dog food because it kills the nutrients. This contains turkey, barley, and turkey liver.. It pretty much contains what the title of the food is.

All and all, still being honest. I prefer my Solid Gold food and supplements and probably won’t change. But now onto the real stars of the company, the biscuits.

Mr. Barky’s Vegetarian Dog Biscuits

These were a first for both me and Rosa. As the story goes, there was this woman who used to make these for her dog Mr. Barky. When her dog passed away, she gave the recipe to PetGuard to have the story of her dog live on in history. These treats contain no meat products, no yeast, no by-products, and no artificial flavors or colors. They do, however, contain wheat and corn. So just watch out for any allergic reactions and only give in moderation. They are really good though, and I give them two polished paws up.

Mr. Pugsly’s Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Rosa told me all about these when I first came home because Rosa was there long before I was even born. So she ate hundreds of times the number of cookies I ever ate. I recommend these for everyday eating. They contain organic peanut butter and organic quinoa flour, which is a protein with amino acids similar to milk and has the highest amount of protein than any other grain. Protein is good for keeping in shape. No by-products, artificial colors and flavors, yada-yada .. The best part is that this contains absolutely NO CORN, WHEAT, SOY, or YEAST! So this treat has very little chance of causing an allergic reaction in your dog.

If only they’d figure that out with their other products. Rosa loved these also, and their texture is amazing for even the smallest and oldest teeth... so Mr. Pugsly cookies, two polished paws and a foot way up!

HipDoggie Diva T-Shirt




Hip Doggie, the company name describes it all. If youwant to be hip, you have to own at least one HipDoggie design in your closet. They are a celebrity favorite, you can read what everyone is saying on their website. So I felt very cool when a package came with their logo on it. They sent me the cutest red and blue (superman colors) shirt ever! This shirt is so soft, its unbelievable. It’s a size small and it looked really small, I wasn’t sure if I would be able to fit into it. I sure hoped I would, low and behold it stretched! This has to be the best fit shirt I have ever owned. Sometimes its hard to see my petite figure because of all of my hair. But this shirt hugged me in all the right places, yet wasn’t tight at all. Lookingat myself in the mirror, I was hoping nobody would think I was a boy (being that I normally wear pink, not red and blue). Cher must’ve been reading my mind again, because she kindly pointed out that the shirt says “Diva” on the back. You can tell I’m a Diva, just by looking at me. But for those couple people that don’t know, having it in rhinestones does help. And I love the little tag sewn onto the front that says Hip Doggie, I can’t help it.. I’m logo obsessed.

So me and Cher went shopping, and this lady thought I was a boy. Strange, I know. But then she saw the back and said that I wasn’t a boy, I was a Diva. And she said I was Red, White, and Blue like the American flag. We quickly left as soon as she wasn’t looking.

Then we went to the dog park and I got a little dirty, and you know how I hate getting dirty. Well, Cher put the shirt in the wash and didn’t read the tag (what else is new). It says to lay flat to dry but she put it in the dryer. So much for my shirt, I thought. But it came out perfectly fine! This shirt has been washed and dried several times since I received it and it comes out in perfect condition with all the rhinestones still intact. Its one of my favorite T-shirts in my closet at the moment.










Chez Charles Rain Wear




Royalty should never get wet. So all upscale dogs, such as myself, know that one can never own too many raincoats. I myself own about ten, I mean.. you don’t honestly think I, The Princess of Couture, would be caught dead wearing the same raincoat two days in a row. Just when I thought maybe I had enough raincoats, I get a package from Chez Charles. Now, for those of you not in the know, Chez Charles is practically synonymous with some of the best raincoats to hit the doggie runway. These aren’t like most raincoats, which are light flimsy things. These raincoats actually have a weatherproof upper layer and a plush, warm inner layer. I just hate when it’s raining outside and cold, most raincoats leave you dry but freezing. I heard there was some chilly, rainy weather coming to New England so I couldn’t wait to put this baby on.

The first thing I noticed about my coat, of course, is the color. Perfect for a Princess, it’s such the prettiest shade of pink for the outer layer, with a matching pink gingham inner layer. The outer waterproof layer is so buttery soft, not like those other plastic-like raincoats. It has an almost leather-like look. The warm and cozy inner layer is so comforting. It reminds me of a grandmother’s quilt. The coat has a very generous cut and is very roomy and comfortable. I can see myself sleeping in this, that is.. if I didn‘t sleep in the nude.

The Velcro closing around the neck and waist offer an easy on, easy off kind of deal. There’s extra Velcro on the waist strap to accommodate all different girths, but I especially love the Velcro at the neck. It is a nice thick Velcro closure to keep your chest extra dry, this comes in handy especially for dogs with a large crest of hair on their chests. Not many raincoats cover this area, I should know because my chest hair touches the ground. And don’t you hate it when you’re walking along and suddenly the Velcro closure around your neck comes loose? Not with this coat, this includes a very smart criss cross pattern Velcro. The Velcro on one side runs horizontal and the Velcro on the other side runs vertical, making the hold extra strong. How smart is the designer of these coats!

I also love the V-shaped slit on the back end. This perfectly accommodates my tail, which curls flat onto my back. Most coats, I have to keep my tail down which is not flattering at all. There’s also the cutest “I’m Lost” tag sewn into the coat, which comes in handy if you or just your coat is lost (as if you’d ever want to take it off). Just when I thought this coat couldn’t get any more posh, Cher turned it inside out and suddenly I had a whole new coat! The comforting gingham layer, worn on the outside, is perfect for those chilly evenings. It’s so posh, I just love it with my pink gingham leash and collar that just happen to match. This coat just screams class, it is in my opinion better than the Burberry ones. I may just have to buy one of each color, and throw out my lesser raincoats.

So the rain lasted for about a week. And normally, like I said in the beginning, I never wear the same outfit twice. Well, I love this coat so much that I wore it for the entire week! I have even worn it when it wasn’t raining, just inside out but I can totally see myself wearing the weatherproof side showing even when it’s sunny. You should’ve seen the jealous looks on everyone’s faces at the park, especially by the larger dogs who are always jealous at the nice clothing available for small dogs. This is the best part! These coats come in every size from 6 inches (15 cm) long to 33 inches (83 cm) long. Anyone from the tiniest Chihuahua to a giant Great Dane can own their own Chez Charles Raincoat! Cause Royal Dogs come in every shape and size. One of the things in common is that they should never get wet.. or cold.







  

Eye Envy Tear Stain Remover




Yes, I’m a gorgeous girl. But even the most beautiful creatures sometimes need a little help. I mean, everyone has a flaw or two. I’m about to reveal mine, being almost entirely white I’m sure you can just guess. Tear Stains.. that’s right, the flaw of every light colored (especially white) animal. There’s different degrees of this, luckily mine is a very mild case. So what’s a girl to do, besides cry in her pint.. Ok.. Half gallon.. of cookie dough ice cream? Fix the problem with a correct and prevent solution. Forget being green with envy, use Eye Envy! The ultimate in tear stain removal systems, this corrects the problem by using a patented antibacterial cleanser and a white enhancing powder in a two step solution to beautiful eyes.

Step One: The Solution This is available in the original formula or a new herbal formula. It doesn’t contain any bleach, peroxide, steroids or other harmful agents. This solution does not lighten the hair like other damaging products. It works at the true problem, a bacteria infection. Eye Envy solution contains a cleanser, an astringent (to dry the area) and herbal flower extract (acts as a natural antibiotic). The staining is caused by bacteria growing in moist areas, and that includes other places if you know what I mean ladies and messy boys. The lovely folks at Eye Envy sent along an Eye Envy Starter Kit and a bottle of All Natural Pet Shampoo for me to use and review. As you can see from my before picture, I had a mild case of tear staining underneath my eyes. The Starter kit contains a 2oz bottle of Eye Envy Solution, a jar of Dry Pads, and a ½ oz jar of Eye Envy Powder in the cutest shimmering gingham bag. Mine was pink gingham, which just happened to match my Chez Charles Raincoat from an earlier review. I highly recommend the Starter Kit for first time users, there’s also the option of buying the products in bulk if you plan to use it on a large number of animals or if you own a grooming shop it would be great to offer your clients as a bonus treatment. Cher applied some Solution to a Dry Pad and used it to clean my eyes. She then waited a couple minutes for it to dry and then pat the Powder with her finger underneath my eyes (she now uses a makeup brush to apply it instead of her finger, which we both agree is more posh). The Shampoo
This shampoo contains no detergents and is fragrance free, although it does smell of something. I’m not sure what is it but it smells really good. It smells very clean, whatever it is. It is enriched with glycerin which conditions and helps with tangles. This adds loads of shine and the softness is awesome. I never felt my hair so soft before! This is gentle enough to use every week, because Royal dogs should be extra clean. It is also gentle enough to be used on kittens and puppies, and contains a natural antibacterial cleanser and organic white vinegar, which just may be what the nice smell is coming from the shampoo.

These products are all around great, use them and everyone will be green with Eye Envy. Then tell your friends, because I know you won’t be able to resist spilling this secret. Chloe's Canine Necklace



Being Royal, we’re all about the bling. The tiaras, the jewelry.. I have it all. Not to brag, but to brag. I mean, I have a satin case full of adornments that is safely put away. I have many, but that doesn’t mean I don’t want more. So when I heard that the designer of mega-luxe Chloe’s Canine Collection was sending me something custom, I couldn’t resist myself. I sat at the window waiting for Joel, our UPS man. You can tell how spoiled you are, when you are friends with the bringer of presents.

So, the gift finally came and boy was I amazed. Even Cher was speechless, this has to be the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen! What else could you expect from Chloe, the most posh Maltese in the world? She’s a model, star, friend, and inspiration for the company. Not to forget Beau, I’d so date him if he wasn’t a cat. He’s hot.

So anyway, we received the necklace and Cher opened it. She wouldn’t let me open this one. It came in the prettiest shimmery pink mesh drawstring bag. It is all Swarovski Crystal and Pearls set in sterling silver. The pearls are a golden color that perfectly match my blonde ears. They are alternated with 14 roulettes which contain six Swarovski Crystals each. The clasp is also sterling silver and attached is a Swarovski encrusted bone at the clasp.

The most beautiful part is of course the large tiara charm. This is the main focal point of the necklace. It is adorned with six large Swarovski Crystals set in sterling silver. How perfect is the addition of a tiara charm for a Princess? I didn’t take it off for several days after that and it’s still my favorite piece, everything else just dims in comparison..




Everything by this designer is just amazing! Cher has already decided to carry her entire line in store, I have a feeling that I will end up with more than half of what she orders. I plan on owning this entire line within a couple years. Forget a satin case, I want an entire glass door, satin and velvet lined, lit up jewelry closet complete with alarm system. And I want that by age five, or I’m going to have a BF (Bitch Fit). That’s what all Royal dogs have when they’re not catered to properly with such things like holistic food, a steady supply of pate, hot clothing, and of course quality bling.. Such as the kind from Chloe’s Canine.






Dog-On Television By Bow Wow TV



As much as I love shopping, sometimes I would just rather stay home. Though I do love the occasional cooking show (my favorite being Paula’s Home Cooking), most human television is just.. well.. boring. I mean, how many reality TV shows can you watch with people eating nasty things? And they think what some dogs eat is gross.

All this boredom flew out the window when I heard that I have received a package from Bow Wow TV the makers of Dog-On Television, the first dog based reality show written by dogs for dogs. This product has a huge celebrity following. Fans include the dogs of John Travolta (who bought 30 copies), Oprah, Barbara Streisand, Scarlett Johansson, Nicollette Sheridan (from Desperate Housewives), and many others. It has been mentioned in publications such as the Oprah Magazine, AKC Family Dog, Dog & Kennel Magazine and AdAge.com and has also been all the buzz on shows such as The Insider, Dateline, and Pet Talk Radio. They have both a DVD and a companion CD (both of which I received), a new surprise product debuting soon, and a Cat-On Television version coming by Winter 2005.

The Dog-On Television DVD Cher put this on for me and at first I didn’t know where the sounds were coming from, I thought they were coming from outside (Cher‘s Note: It was the surround sound). There’s a catchy little song at the beginning, so we both started to dance. I then noticed the dogs on the TV, so I spent half the time watching the DVD and half the time running around the house barking like a fiend. I kept forgetting they weren’t actually in my living room.

It ran for a really long time (Cher’s Note: It ran for an hour, but was on loop), by the time the song came on again I was too pooped to move while Cher started to dance again. So not only was it a great reality show but also an exercise tape, great for keeping your shape so you can wear sexy clothes.

Let me tell you what was on the DVD. It was hundreds of dogs, had to be at least one of every breed though I didn’t notice any poms. It took place in many dog parks. It was very high energy, and sparked me to run around like crazy also. There were dogs barking, playing fetch, drinking from the fountains and splashing about. There were dogs running about non stop with their faces this close to the camera *puts paws up*. They were playing with barrels and huge branches, it was great to see those big boys in action without fear of being trampled. There was also a bit of drama, like any good reality show. No fights, but a couple were pretty close to it with their words. It makes great television, buy it.. your dogs will love it. The Dog-On Television CD This was exactly like the DVD, even included the catchy song in the beginning. It’s perfect for when you are traveling and can’t head to the dog park, or even if you are outside you can still listen to it on a portable CD player. The best part is that if you buy the DVD, you can order the CD for only $5! That’s quite a deal.

So yes, I give this product two polished paws up!

The only downfall I found about either of these is that they will make your neighbors question how many dogs you own. Ha ha, the sounds coming from both of these are so realistic of a dog park. It’s like they took the best of the dog parks and edited them all together, it’s like awesome so I too give it two thumbs up. I found myself watching it, and watching her reaction was really entertaining. Next time I leave Princess alone, I’m going to make sure to leave the DVD or CD on. It doesn’t even have to be on loud for your dog to get the full effect. I already told every dog owner in my neighborhood about this. Royal dogs can go with you almost everywhere, especially the tinier of the bunch. As dainty as we are though, carrying a dog around in one arm can be inconvenient for the owner in need of both arms. And as chic as dog carriers are, I don’t ever want to ride in one outdoors on a summer day. It is just horrid how people carry those big bulky things around in the middle of such hot weather while their poor babies stick their heads out and pant for air. Yes, walking is an option but as any diva dog knows.. Royalty don’t have to . So when I received a message from my assistant that the awesome creators of PuppyPurse were sending along any carrier of my choice, I had my shoes ready to go for a day of relaxed shopping.

For those of you who are saying “I didn’t know dogs carried purses..” I will explain for you. Yes, I do have two purses (and a backpack) but that’s not what I am talking about. PuppyPurse is probably the greatest product any small dog owner could possess. It is a genius patented harness system that allows you to hang comfortably by your owner’s side, where every dog wants to be at all times. You simply open the harness up, put your dog’s legs into one of each four holes, secure the top and then slip your baby right onto your shoulder like you would a regular dog carrier. Of course, this isn’t like any other dog carrier you have ever seen.

So, I could only choose one for now and it was quite a hard decision. I finally decided on the Hot Dog Passionate Pink. It is hot pink and black, the Princess Couture colors, and perfectly suited my individual style. They come in so many styles and colors to match any outfit you own, because who wouldn’t match their dog? I received the package rather quickly and I opened the signature purple wrapping. It is just so cool rocker chick and it fits me perfectly . Cher quickly put it on me, slipped it on her shoulder, and took me shopping. It was very comfortable and didn’t hurt me at all, it pretty much feels like you are laying in a hammock and a prefer that to being carried around laying on an arm.

We got lots of stares, which I am used to. Cher, of course, did her excellent free advertising. She does this when she really likes something, if we’re seen in it people tend to buy whatever we like. I’m sure there will be plenty of people walking around Greenwich with dogs in PuppyPurses now. They will if they are smart, because this is the most versatile means of carrying your dog available. You have many options, you can carry it over your shoulder like a purse. Or you can lengthen the straps and carry it across your chest for longer trips, such as hiking or mall hopping. This option also works great for men to carry their dog without people asking why they are carrying a handbag. You can also shorten the straps and carry your dog like a fanny pack around your waist or remove the straps and use the handy little handles to carry in your hand, which looks especially cute with an evening dress (works best with the smaller of the Toy Group). And when it’s time for your pampered pup to get some exercise (not that they would want to), the straps easily convert into a leash so that your little one can go potty without deciding to run off and get their nails done.

So, in conclusion, I had a nice relaxing shopping spree right by mom’s side. Cher didn’t come home with a pain in her arm from carrying a pastry stuffed pup. And I was nice and cool, and out in the open for everyone to fawn over. In my Royal opinion, four polished paws way up! If I had more feet, I would put them up also. If you carry your small dog everywhere with you, this is not just an accessory. This is necessary.

Puppy Purse.. Part Deux and Once More
 

Not all Royal dogs (or cats) begin their lives in the lap of luxury. In fact, some start off in rather poor conditions. Much like The Prince and The Pauper, some Royalty have no idea who they are and resort to neglect or worse.. homeless. These Royals end up in a place humans call.. "shelters". Left without a castle to call their own, they lie in cages.. usually not the cleanest of places. They are usually forced to eat cheap, low quality food with by-products in it because that's all the shelters can afford. Horrid by far is the fact that they are almost always.. it makes me shudder to think of it.. naked. I'm not even joking! No clothing, no shoes, no jewelry, NOTHING! There they are, Royalty, sitting in these deplorable conditions. Waiting for homes, poor things. Although I am from a pomeranian breeder, both I and Cher have a heart for the homeless pets in this country. My late sister and my current brother were both rescued, as well as twelve other pets Cher has owned since she were old enough to wear lipgloss. So we always make time in our busy schedule to attend the annual Puttin' On The Dog, which supports Adopt-a-Dog animal rescue of Greenwich, CT. Once again, the awesome creators of PuppyPurse decided (since we are celebutantes) to send me another PuppyPurse to wear to the event. We are normally at the event for hours, so expecting a Princess such as myself to walk the entire time.. well that's simply unheard of. And because I have to greet my fans, a stroller or closed carrier would not do. I was sent the cutest polkadot shimmery PuppyPurse ever! The dots are set upon the lightest mesh fabric, very strong but perfect for a warm day. I was cool and comfortable all day.. almost like I was naked. But I still felt decent. After that, I was sent a GORGEOUS Satiny Valentine heart covered PuppyPurse. The beautiful burgundy color and satin material is perfect for an evening gala, or even daywear for the truely Royal. Anytime is a good time for a PuppyPurse. 
 

New York Dog Boucle Coat



Young Royalty usually prance around looking like socialites on the club scene, what looks trashy on most looks sexy on the right social class. I usually dress very cute and fun, but some days call for a certain level of sophistication. Such level of sophistication comes in dressing like a lady. This coat from New York Dog (not to be confused with my bible, The New York Dog Magazine) is class with a capitol "C". The fabric is a beautiful pink tweed, but is softer than most tweeds I have ever felt. The fabric is very complicated in appearance, with bits of every color of the rainbow running subtley throughout the fabric. From far away, the coat looks simply pink and black. But up close you can really appreciate the workmanship that goes into this coat.\par

The back of the coat is accented with two working pockets, each buttoned with a single gold-toned basket embossed button which is very Dynasty meets ladies who lunch. The collar is black with the same beautiful plush material used for the lining, and is sewn in such a way that it keeps the collar from flipping up (which most coats with collars do). The back of the coat also features a hole to run a leash through, like most coats do. But it is quite large and specifically made for a harness. The large opening is centered perfectly for a step in harness and allows both D rings to fit through, which makes it easier to attach a leash versus putting the leash through and having to find the D rings. It can also be worn with a different style harness as well, but the large opening can be appreciated anyway. The opening is mostly hidden by the collar.

The coat is attached by two velcro straps, one at the neck and one at the tummy. Both are covered with the pink tweed fabric and lined with black plush fabric. The entire coat is finished with a black trim which is sewn to perfection. The entire coat itself is lined with a very warm plush black lining which looks very striking and gives the coat a modern edge. I also love that the tag is swen flat to the bottom of the jacket lining. This keeps the tag from being itchy on the neck like most. This coat makes a beautiful addition to my extensive coat collection, and I could see it being fashionable and chic way into my golden years. Truely a class act.




Ruff Ruff Couture Beverly Hills Pearl Pink Slicker Trench




What do you get when you combine pink shimmer, black and white polka dots, and a glittering rhinestone heart? Princess Couture perfection! This has to be the cutest coat in my collection (and I must have over 50 coats in my closet). What else could you expect from Ruff Ruff Couture, the hottest doggie clothing line and celeb favorite straight from Beverly Hills? I love love love practically everything they have ever designed, and I'm not alone. Anyone who is anyone in the doggie world owns at least one piece from their collection.
And I, being a top doggie celebrity, should know.

This coat is reversible, which means you can wear it inside out and have a totally different look. I consider that two coats for the price of one. One way you can wear it (which is my favorite) is with the polka dots showing. The dots are perfectly proportioned for the coat, which makes it a fun look but not silly. As I'm sure most of you know, I love polka dots. Especially black and white, or black and pink, or pink and brown. They are my favorites color combos. The collar is matching and is sewn to lay flat (which is such a plus). There is also a harness opening correctly positioned (also a plus). The belt is oh so cute! It is the same shimmery pink as what is now the lining of the coat and really sticks out from the polka dots. It is held in place by two belt loops on the back and accentuated by a rhinestone heart faux belt buckle which adds the perfect bit of bling to the coat and really sparkles like diamonds.

To reverse the coat, simply remove the belt via velcro. Remove the belt from the two loops and turn the coat inside out. Replace belt into loops. You know have a brand new look. The only thing I would do to improve this is to be able to reverse the belt, so that the belt could be polka dotted when reversed to the pink shimmer side. Or to sell the coat with an extra belt that has polka dots. Other than that, the coat is perfect. Alot of reversible coats have the tag visible when you reverse it, but not this one. The designers were smart enough to actually put the tag on the
inside of the belt, this way it was never visible until you were looking for it.
Why hadn't anyone thought of that before?

The pink side is also water resistant, which is thoughtful just in case you were stuck in the rain somewhere and couldn't get from the store to the car fast enough because your owner didn't bring her umbrella (as she doesn't watch the weather or the news) and is more concerned with her eyeliner and shoes to get under someone else's umbrella so she simply makes a run for it and hopes she can dodge most of the raindrops. And for you Prince's out there (or Princess' who for some odd reason wouldn't want the pink version), this coat also comes in blue
with a square rhinestone belt (instead of a heart) which is more boyish.
Come to think of it, I would love the blue version also.
